Team Spelling Challenge

Four students from Pohutukawa, Rikkileigh, Sheyla, Summah and Mashurrakhon, represented us in the school Teams Spelling Challenge today. They made us very proud and they battled it out right to the end. The words were horrendously hard - and they showed courage and determination to spell them in front of the whole school. We are proud of our team and especially our classmate, Sheyla. This is what Sheyla said..."I was standing up in front of what felt like thousands of people. My heart was racing, my palms were sweaty and my legs were shaking. I was terrified, I was so nervous but I still really enjoyed it even though we got eliminated in the third round. I can't wait until the Spelling Bee."
